dc.description Betty Tatsuta was the oldest surviving member of the 1939 Deaf Club and important informant about signing at that time. Her early name (before ASL and before her marriage) was Hideko Matsumura. She recalled her friendships with Elizabeth Tanaka (Misaki Tani) and Grace Santos. She allowed photos but no video.
