dc.description Genre: Origin myth/Oral history. Title: Ata Mbare (The Mbare) A history about Mbare ancestors and common names and the habit to light a fire five times after somebody has died. Told by Bapak Mboe (c. 60), sitting outside with Woko Dhu'a, Cawa Thimbane (on the path between their houses) and a few other family members. Recorded directly with the Zoom H4N, handheld, because of the spontaneous situation and being outside.
