Abstract:Brief excerpt from interview: We had a hard time finding previous resources [for] a research paper. Some of them were locked up [behind paywalls]... Condensing what we did see into a not-overwhelming paper was the trickiest part... when I did have a word count challenge, it was bringing it down under the word count.
Description:This item includes a segment of a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in Geology & Geophysics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The interview was conducted in 2014, and in this clip the interviewee is responding to the question 'In responding to your instructor's writing assignment, what challenges did you face?'
