Abstract: | Dr. Taam was one of the prominent Chinese librarians in the 20th century; there is very little information about his life after he left China in late 1937. This article intends to describe some of Dr. Taam's activities in Hawaii and his contributions to the Chinese collection at the university of Hawaii Library, and to recognize him as the first Chinese librarian appointed to serve as Curator of the Oriental Collection. |
