Abstract
he software industry has grown tremendously since the late 70's. Software has become an essential part of the business of a lot of companies, no matter they are manufacturers or users. It is also very important product line for most computer producers. To the software companies, it is their only asset and source of income. In 1984, the total sales of software reached $7 billion. (Chakravarty, p.72) Therefore, software related activities and products plays a significant role in many companies.
