|Abstract:||The urogenital anatomy of various individuals in the family Carcharhinidae is examined. Special emphasis is placed on the kidneys and their status as mesonephric, metanephric, or opisthonephric. The criteria used may be employed as a basis for namtng the kidney types in other elasmobranchs. Some organs which have received little attention in the literature, the cloacal papillae and epigonal organ, are also covered.|
