Abstract
The Problem: Formal learning experiences provided for the student major in recreation do not meet all the preparatory needs of students. Personal experience indicated that alternative means of gaining practical skills are necessary. Purpose of the Study: This investigation was undertaken to attempt to determine if a workshop method of presenting materials is an effective way of supplementing the recreation major's knowledge in program areas where curricular experiences are lacking.
