Abstract:Americans are called a "society of joiners" since we provide for people sharing common interests such as hobbies, religions, jobs, social desires, national concerns, and sports. From the smallest troop of Scouts of America to the msot complex chapters of the AFL=CIO, America is filled with formally organized groups that spring up to meet a need or to solve a problem or to share fun or timely interests.
