Abstract
Oftentime, high school students express that there is a lack of relevance in the subject matter they are being taught. They are not able to relate the material they are studying in the classroom with the life they lead outside. An important question we must ask ourselves as teachers is, "Why are we teaching students this?" Is it because it is listed in our cirriculum guide as a specific topic or is it because it is important and will be useful to him in the future?
