|Description:||This paper describes a collaborative project by linguists and artists that developed bilingual illustrated reading books in Mongsen Ao and English. The paper demonstrates how one output of linguistic research can be innovatively applied to language maintenance by targeting a crucial link in the chain of intergenerational transmission: young children.|
