Item type: Item , Value Co-Destruction on Individual Experiencing Vulnerabilities: Scale Development and Validation on Mothers’ Online Discussion Forums(2026-01-06) Windasari, Nila; Solikhan, Aulia; Meylinda, CindyMothers of young children often seek support and guidance through online parenting forums. While these platforms aim to facilitate collaborative value creation through shared experiences, they are also vulnerable to value co-destruction (VCD), where interactions undermine the intended support. This study aims to develop VCD scale on individual experiencing vulnerabilities, using the case of mothers’ of young children in the mothers’ online forums. Extending the value co-destruction literature, this research identifies two novel dimensions specific to online support group value co-destruction: VCD from peer-interaction and VCD from institutional arrangement. The measures are validated using data collected from 331 mother members of online parenting forum.Item type: Item , Generational Diversity as a Driver of Vibrant Retail Districts(2026-01-06) Shin, Geonyul; Kim, Sohui; Kim, Do Hyeon; Ryu, Min HoThis study examines the effect of generational diversity on the vitality of urban retail districts. While prior research focused on organizations, little is known about its role in neighborhood economies. To address this gap, we analyze panel data from the Seoul Retail District Analysis Service and apply social capital theory and the contact hypothesis to explain how generational diversity may shape outcomes. Results from Study 1 show that diversity, measured with the Blau Index, has a significant positive effect on average sales per transaction, indicating that interaction across age groups enhances vitality. Study 2, motivated by rapid ageing and the rise of active older consumers, reveals that although a higher senior population ratio generally reduces average sales per transaction, this effect is moderated by income, becoming positive in higher-income districts. These findings identify generational diversity as a driver of vitality and highlight intergenerational contact zones (ICZs) for sustainable economies.Item type: Item , Adoption of Power Balancing Technologies(2026-01-06) Przybylik, Mariusz; Shachmurove, Yochanan; Kossecki, PawełThis article examines the influence of sustainability orientation and knowledge of power balancing mechanisms on the adoption of technologies that support power balancing among photovoltaic (PV) prosumers. Prosumers are individuals who both generate and consume electricity. The findings are derived from a survey of 1054 respondents, conducted among Polish prosumers who own photovoltaic installations generating electricity for household consumption. The survey was designed based on a decision model constructed by the authors incorporating five steps of technology adoption model: knowledge acquisition, knowledge development, technology acquisition, technology implementation, and system development. Statistical analyses confirm that sustainability orientation and knowledge of power balancing mechanisms significantly influence the perceived ease-of-use and the extent of achieved benefits. This research highlights the importance of behavioral factors in shaping adoption of power balancing technologies. These insights offer practical implications for designing policies, business models, and educational strategies that promote engagement with smart energy systems among prosumers.Item type: Item , Introduction to the Minitrack on Transformative Service Systems for a Sustainable World(2026-01-06) Lin, Fu-Ren; Windasari, Nila; Maglio, Paul
