This study addresses the needs for techniques to relax the electrical grid communication bandwidth by presenting the development and testing of virtualized software-based application synchrophasor (VSAS-PMU). VSAS-PMU was chosen because it’s ability to decode and extract the useful data from raw data that help to effectively managing communication link bandwidth within the electrical grid communication network, reduce costs, physical size, complexity, while increasing flexibility and scalability, to validate the design real-time simulator based digital twins model act as source for sample value SV stream publishing to the grid via communication network. all implementing the IEC 61850 standard. Preliminary results show that VSAS-PMU is successfully subscribed to the SV stream, and analyzed the raw data confirming their feasibility as alternatives solution, as well as useful data is extracted and prepared to be published over GOOSE protocol. Our solution provides a more adaptable and bandwidth management for time-critical electrical grid application requirements.
