About you
1 Do you consider yourself to be a native or fluent speaker of this language? If not, what language do you feel most comfortable speaking? Not as fluent as I want to be, I qualify as a heritage speaker. I am most comfortable speaking Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) & English.
2 What other language(s) do you speak? How well do you speak each one? I took Italian for three semesters (2006-2007).

4 What kind of work does you family do? My father is an entrepreneur, running several businesses.

6 How threatened do you think your language is? Moribund, might dissapear in one or two generations if no effort is taken in documenting and revitalizing the language.
7 Would you want your child to attend vernacular education programs? Elementary, Secondary, University? I would prefer an Indonesian based education with supplements in Thong Boi.

29 Are there any members of your ethnic group who speak your language differently from you? If yes, where? Yes, every town in Bangka has sligthly different variation of Thong Boi, especially in terms of intonation and word choice.
30 Do most children in your community speak your language fluently? If, not what percent speak fluently? Yes, children growing up in Bangka can speak the language. However, there are not that many of them.
