Abstract
1991 and 1992 (updated) versions of the application
"As a result of the high volume and pressure of steam Puna Geothermal Venture (PGV) encountered when drilling Kapoho State 8 (KS-8) injection well on June 12, 1991, PGV proposes to redesignate KS-8 as a production well. To do so, it is necessary to submit the enclosed Application for Permit to Drill Proposed Geothermal Well Kapoho State 8 on Reserved Lands, Kapoho, Puna, Hawaii to the Board of Land and Natural Resources for approval. This submittal is consistent with the amended Plan of Operations submitted to the Department of Land and Natural Resources on November 1, 1991. The filing fee of $100.00 made payable to the Department of Land and Natural Resources is also enclosed. Further, PGV submits the "KS-S Well Test Program," dated November 22, 1991. This document contains proprietary information concerning the KS-8 well and PGV would appreciate controlled circulation of this document to maintain the confidentiality of information presented therein."
