Abstract
Description
Genre: Healing/ritual language. Lakimosa Ngaji Pione tells of how he cures a person suffering from severe 'head-breaking' headache, not eating, not drinking. (Possibly a type of inflicted 'huru' curse disease). Ngaji visits the place Haja ca (réta Pesa kuni), with egg(s) and ceremonial paddy grains to offer with a ritual chant, Bhulu wa'o, and several ritual couplets, calling on the ancestors to bring good health to the patient. Transcribed and translated by Mboe Erixon as an assignment of the FEL supported project to teach ELAN to Palu'e youth, practicing directly on yet unannotated recordings. Edited by SD.
