Abstract:	Four plants with rugose leaflets were found among 19 interspecific double-cross hybrid plants of Desmodium. It was found through test crosses and progeny tests that rugose leaflet was controlled by three pairs ofgenes which were complementary in action, with each of the three Desmodium species contributing one dominant gene.
