Citation: Mostafanezhad, Mary. 'Instructor interview for Place-Based WAC/WID writing instruction in Geography, clip 6 of 10.' Interview with Jim Henry. Scholarspace. Sep. 2015. Web.
Abstract: Brief excerpt from interview: I actually used to teach at Leeward Community College in Waiʻanae and I brought students to another site that I really like: the Kaʻala Cultural Learning Center... [T]hat's actually what inspired me to continue with the field trips because I had a lot of students in the class, including a lot of local students, who... seemed to almost be in tears with the fact that they felt like they were connecting with their culture and learned a lot of things that they didn't know and they've lived here their whole lives and that was really inspirational for me and I thought well this has to happen.
