Abstract
Controllership as an administrative function has steadily been increasing in importance during the past years. The concept of the role of accounting in a business organization has indeed changed since the 1930's when accountants concentrated most of their efforts on keeping accurate financial records for both managerial and legal reporting purposes. However, as time progressed, management recognized the great need for control within its business operations and its importance for the success of the company.
