Abstract: Recently, there has been increasing interest in certain low dalton marine toxins, as they have been implicated in seafood poisonings. The toxins include ciguatoxin (CTX), which is implicated in ciguatera fish poisoning, and okadaic acid (OA), which is involved in diarrhetic shellfish poisoning.
