Abstract
torytelling is a personal and engaging process towards discovery and understanding – of inner and outer realities, past and present, and multiple identities – in a variety of contexts. For the person telling a story, constructing a narrative is a complex, cumulative effort of the teller to communicate but also to reflect on, judge, or contemplate experience to reach some sort of truth. In this vein, I wanted to write solely in the first person to explore characterization of a narrator, the reasons behind telling or sharing a story, and why they are important to be heard or received.
