Abstract
This deep exploration well is to be drilled for the University of Hawaii under authority of and funding by the Energy Research and Development Administration and the State of Hawaii. The University of Hawaii will appoint to the project a Drilling Manager and a Geologist who will supervise the drilling of the well through the Contractor. They will offer guidance and assistance to the Contractor, but in no way will this relieve the Contractor of the responsibility for the drilling operations. The Contractor is required to provide at all times supervision by a competent toolpusher, and skilled crews experience in the operation of a drilling rig of this scale.
