The Language Documentation Training Center is a student-run project with the goal of teaching native speakers of understudied or endangered languages the skills necessary to document their own languages. Basic elements of language documentation are introduced in a series of Saturday workshops during the semester. At the end of the semester, each participant will have produced a set of web pages introducing their language and presenting recordings, texts, grammatical information, and vocabulary. See http://ling.hawaii.edu/ldtc/ for more information.
