Title: An investigation of a new method for potassiumargon age determination
Author: Barnes, Ira Lynus
Date: 1963
Abstract: It was the object of this research to investigate the possibility of a new method for potassium-argon age determination based on isotope dilution with a radioactive isotope which would not necessarily require the use of a mass spectrometer. The diffusion of argon through artificial glasses was to be determined. Also a number of the assumptions regarding the operation of an ultra-high vacuum system when used statically as a part of the general apparatus for argon determination were to be investigated.
