|Title:||An investigation of a new method for potassiumargon age determination|
|Authors:||Barnes, Ira Lynus|
|Abstract:||It was the object of this research to investigate the possibility of a new method for potassium-argon age determination based on isotope dilution with a radioactive isotope which would not necessarily require the use of a mass spectrometer. The diffusion of argon through artificial glasses was to be determined. Also a number of the assumptions regarding the operation of an ultra-high vacuum system when used statically as a part of the general apparatus for argon determination were to be investigated.|
