Abstract: Parechthrodryinus xylococculi New Species is described from material taken at several localities in California. The species parasitizes Xylococculus macrocarpae (Coleman). This account represents the first bona fide recored of an encyrtid attacking representatives of the Xylococcinae, a primitive subfamily of margarodid.
